Learning
The urban countryside in the Medlock Valley offers a wealth of opportunities for learning about our environment and social history. As well as self-guided activities, the Warden Service offers a range of educational events for schools, most of which are free. School visits can be tailored to meet specific requirements, or age groups, and can play a key role in fulfilling aspects of the national curriculum - with bug hunts, pond dipping and tree/bulb planting being particular favourites.
For more information, or to book an activity, please contact the Philips Park Wardens.
You can also contact Carol Baguley at Groundwork about learning activities in the Medlock Valley. For information telephone 0161237 5656 or email Carol.Baguley@groundwork.org.uk
